“ENseñanza de las CIENcias en la Didáctica Escolar” (ENCIENDE)  was a project of the Spanish Association of Scientific Societies (COSCE) with the goal of fostering an early interest on Science among the younger children. It was ACIERTAS‘ predecessor.

The project fosterd links between scientists, teachers and schools.  The website served as the contact point and also as a repository for scientists and teachers who can share their activities there with the rest of the community. They are now at the ACIERTAS repositories.

We encouraged schools to carry out science projects that were submitted to the competition organized by ENCIENDE at the end of each school year known as “Premios ENCIENDE”.

ENCIENDE published a monthly on line newsletter called “Chispas de la Ciencia“ during the school year, featuring science articles addressed to young students and their teachers.
