The Astronomical Observatory of the University of Valencia was founded around 1909. It is the oldest university observatory still active in Spain. It has gathered a number of astronomical and educational instruments during its more than 100 years. Some of them are shown at the Observatory’s permanent exhibition.
In 2007 it was recognised as a Museographic Collection of the Generalitat Valenciana, the regional government. I am the curator of the Museum.
The newest addition has been a fragment from a solar array from the Space Hubble telescope that we won during the ESA Hubble Contest that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the telescope.
